Chrome not working on android tablet

As above. I recently got an ainol novo 10 hero 2. Chrome will install and launch, but if you try to load a page (any page I've tried so far) it will not display. It loads what could be mistaken for a cracked screen. I took a screenshot of it.
Any ideas to get it working? I use chrome across all my platforms and it's very handy that it updates bookmarks etc, I'd really prefer not to have to use the stock browser!

Have you tried the standard browser on the tablet to see if it is working?

yep, it works fine as does dolphin. Everything else works fine, no problems with the screen at all except with chrome. Very strange!

I wish somebody with the same tablet or same problem posted some help

Chrome used never work on my tablet (Acer A510) or my friend's (Asus Transformer Prime) until we updated to JellyBean - the page would only partially load, but it was the top bit only as opposed to wht you have. Mine has worked flawlessly since 4.1.

I've given up and have just started using the stock browser. It works well, it's just a pain it doesn't have my bookmarks.

That's odd. I'm pretty sure it has 4.1 on it, but I'll check later on. The screen shot I attached earlier isn't actually typical of what happens, there is normally very little black. It's normally just a slightly different colour like a crack in glass toward the bottom left of the screen. I guess that doesn't really have a massive effect on what the problem is though...

Do you know what processor your tablet has? I think this was a tegra-specific issue when I had it.

Try uninstalling it. Then download 1mobile market from the play store. This is an alternative app store. I have a Onda v972 and these Chinese tablets have really bad app compatibility. You can download and install any app with this that you cannot from the official store.

Doesn't the nova use a different processor to most android devices that can cause compatibility issues?

The processor is an Actions ATM7029, 1.5GHz, Cortex A9 Family quad core. I'll try that alternative market and see if I can find something there.

Unfortunately the issue is not that we can not download it, the issue is that the screen when a website loads appears just as the photo uploaded. The rest of the app works great, the tabs open, the omnibar works, and so do the settings, it fails at displaying the websites, it just shows a triangle that looks like a cracked screen.

Maybe someone can find a version that fits our tablets, I tried several apks and none of them works.

I've updated to a new firmware and although chrome works, it lags a lot. I'm getting used to using the stock browser anyway, but it's still pretty annoying!
