Hi i have just under 11Gb of music in my itunes library and have it all synced to my iphone, however there is some songs that i will never listen to and so far i haven't found a way to stop them syncing other than going through the whole library and manually managing music.

Is it possible to change a setting to never sync X song or groups of songs.
    Thanks

I don't know if you mean this with managing your music manually, but you can deselect "sync entire music library" in iTunes under your iPhone tab. Then you select the 2nd option (selected songs, playlist etc) and it will only sync the ones you have selected. Prob easiest to "select all" in the library and then deselect the songs don't want to sync.

Yeah I know of that but I was kind of hoping there was a way to not sync it again if I delete it on the device on the go. I haven't the patience to go through the library again so I may just put up with it.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway though

When you plug in the phone, normally is says it found stuff on the phone that's not in your itunes directory, would you like to ad them....

Then just say no...or is that no longer a feature

I think you meant to say that the other way around. I've always just had sync entire library checked but a few times I've manually managed it but restoring is a pain because you have to add everything again

On the main screen of the iphone in itunes tick only sync ticked items and then in your playlists or music untick any songs you don't want - job done.

Hi thanks for the suggestion but I've done that before and again I'd have to go through the whole library. I'd love if I could just delete them from the iPhone and not have them sync again but don't think it's possible.

I wonder if I manually manage music and transfer everything and then delete them on the phone. That should stop them syncing again
