HELP WITH TUNING PLEASE

I'm trying to retune a Tevion sat box to get the new settings for Showcase ch.
I have the correct settings but once I have correctly (as far as I know) set it, everythings fine EXCEPT I lose channel four!. I have tried numerous times but this always happens.

If anyone can help me I will be eternally grateful as it's driving me up the wall:(.

Had to rush the above so here's a bit more info.

The settings I'm using for Showcase ch are:
Frequency: 12.607
Symbol rate: 27500

These were supplied by MidWest Radio as it's their TV prog. Ireland WEst Music TV. that I'm trying to get back. All was fine until the frequency was altered a few days ago.

As I said, with these setting Showcase works but Ch 4 goes.

Are you entering Showcase settings as a new tp (transponder), or maybe you're just changing the settings for the ch.4 tp? (It's lowest freq. so would probably be 1st on the list.)

The Showcase tp might already be in the list & you'll just have to find it & scan.

I'm just entering the settings as a new manual setting.

I had heard from a neighbour that Showcase had gone from her FTA sat box and then the new settings were given out by Midwest.
They are clearly the correct settings because Showcase comes through loud and clear. It just takes out Ch 4.

No, Showcase is not mentioned on the list shown on here. That was the first place I looked after having this trouble.
It was also changed on sky but, of course, my sky box automatically reset it with no probs.

It wouldn't surprise me if I was doing something wrong, but if I am I can't see what it is.

I think you're just editing the parameters of the Ch.4 tp, rather than entering new or finding 12607 V in the existing list.

Not sure I follow you. How would I be editing the parameters for ch 4 when all I'm doing is entering 12.067 as a new manual setting?.

If I go to it now and click instalation-manual and then the settings for Showcase I will get it but ch4 will have gone!

Just got email notification of a new post from you that hasn't appeared here for some reason.

I believe that I tried both V and H.

I've gone round in circles so many times that I'm afraid I'm going to dissappear up my own backside.

It's a Tevion model no. 28208ALD ( bought in Aldi).

I've had no problems adding other channels. Only this one.

There may be different versions of this box, take a look at the manual here. See P.58 if you think it's the right one, you probably still have your own anyway. This one is the same as the receivers sold in Lidl, you have to press '1' on 'TP Index' to add a new transponder. You can't just change the 1st set of figures that come up.

Thanks Peter, your help has done it, All up and running now. I realised where I was going wrong.

Having that extra page (my manual only has 27 pages!!) made a difference as well.
