Tax is getting far too much these days on the A8, so looking at something comfy, nice and a bit different, found this

    http://www.carzone.ie/search/Saab/9-5/2.0-LPT-/32013559344865990/advert?channel=CARS

Saab 95 estate, I've always had a thing for them, lovely looking but I'm wondering what "flexifuel" is, as this is what comes up when I do a reg check on it. Is it simply that it will take biodiesel too?

Any advice on possible gremlins with it? Does any one know the tax band? Presumably it'll be better than the €1300+ on the 3.0 A8 :)

Biopower or flexifuel states that car can run on E85 fuel (85% ethanol). However you cannot get e85 in Ireland anymore, so it is just a petrol. Its a little pricey for the milage, but they are a nice car, what A8 do you have? If you are going to look at it ,check the heated seats work, It has xenons so turn them on an check that they are not blinking (bulbs on the way out) and that the level sensors are working (if they are not a symbol will appear on the dash). Aux belt and pulleys should have been done. Check that the PCV valve has not broken off ,cheap to repair but easy check.

Thanks for the info. The mileage is a bit high, my 2005 is at 240,000km so 257 on a petrol 08 seems high.

There's a lovely 09 up the north for €9950 but revenue are claiming the omsp is 28k on them, when the only similar one for sale is at 16k, its a total joke.

At the moment I have a 2005 A8 3.0tdi, 240k on the clock, its a pre face lift but has heated seats and ami iPod integration. Probably only looking at getting 8-9k trade in on it. Maybe 12k private sale
