If you're going to overclock it you won't be able to with a H77 board. Look for a Z77 board instead.

Looks good. Just a couple of things.

You will need a Z77 board to overclock. The Asrock Z77 pro 3 or 4 are good budget options. The 4 just has a couple more usb's and sata's.

The card is good but you are paying a premium for it as it's pre-overclocked. You could get a cheaper model that has lower base clocks and still end up with around the same overclock. That price is touching near 660ti and 7950 territory.

You can get a good 660ti for €250. Still both cards are overkill if you aren't gaming at 1080p.

Thanks guys. Doubt I'll be doing any serious gaming so any recommendations on a card then?

If your not really doing any 3D gaming you quite possibly don't need any, for programming and touching up a few photos the on chip GPU should be just fine.

I was thinking of this before alright. I'm just not sure if the in built graphics are good enough for some programs I may be running at some point e.g. solid modelling etc. Also is the power supply overkill or is it fine?

PSU is fine, without a GPU you could obviously get away with much less wattage, but its hard to get good quality ones below the 400W mark anyway and that one leaves you with the option to add in a GPU later.

As for the GPU itself it is always something you could add in later if not required now. I would research if the applications you intend using would benefit much from GPU acceleration and CUDA/OPENCl etc.

Hmmmm interesting. I might consider leaving out the GPU for the moment and add in later if required. Cheers

If I were you I'd give it a try at building it yourself, its quite fun and weirdly addictive. Also it saves you 20 quid :)

Yeah that's the plan. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in now.
