Sounds like a good deal, was just passing earlier and noticed it:

Bull and Castle have a similar offer Monday-Wednesday, although the selection is limited to three or four beers - Metalman, some O'Hara's, 8 Degrees as I recall.

The great advantage of McSorleys is their reasonably priced pints of 5am Saint. It's a good €1 cheaper than in ATG. Their selection is perhaps a little bit limited though.

Porterhouse North has all Porterhouse beers €4 a pint Monday - Thursday.

Pretty sure I had Punk IPA in McSorleys before too. 4 euro a pint for either of those Brewdog beers be well worth a visit every Wednesday !

Galway Hooker, Metalman Pale Ale, Rebel Lager, O'Hara's stout and Buckley's Golden ale (which is always €4).

Been thinking of a night out in Ranelagh as it's handy for the gf in UCD, cheap pints of Punk IPA would definitely tempt me.

I go there quite often and I haven't seen Punk, I'm afraid.

Couldn't believe it when I saw they had craft beers in McSorleys. It's the last place I would have expected to see them.

Seeing them in more and more places these days, long may it continue.

I don't know. Ranelagh is an interesting place - on one hand you have the Heineken-drinking rugby crowd, on the other young, hip and affluent crowd that would no doubt be interested in craft beer. Neither group is mutually exlusive but that's how I see it having spent thousands and thousands of hours in Ranelagh.

They've been selling them for around the last year and a half or so, some great beers there.
