Question about Google Goggles/Barcode scanners

    Hi all,
    I volunteer for a charity bookshop and we have no database of what we have, if you want a book you have to look on the shelves.

    I was thinking about making some sort of database.
    Would it be possible to use google goggles or other barcode scanner/app to scan all the barcodes on the books and create a database this way?

    And is there anyw y of sending the compiled data to a desktop pc?
