    Hi All,
I have an upgrade in April with eMobile and I was wondering what the best device to get is? My last android was the Desire and had to move to an iPhone for work. My main requirements:

    - Good battery (If I can get from morning to night on a charge with heavy usage Ill be happy)
    - Quick processor (I use a lot of apps, normally running at the same time)
    - Heavy internet usage (About 6 hours a day in total)
    - Heavy texter - light caller
    - Flash support (Watch a fair few games online)
    - Decent wifi connection speeds (Currently the iPhone will only connect at 20Mbps, running a 100Mbps line)
    - A good camera (greater than 5MP preferrably) with a built in flash
    - Rootable! (I havent used ICS or JB so not sure if I would still need to)
    - Large internal memory. (Id prefer not to use an SD card, to limit the power consumption)
    - Usuals (Bluetooth/Loudspeaker/Etc)
    - No bloatware. I dont like the Galaxy because of the Samsung bloatware thats on it.
    - FM Radio if possible. (More of a nice to have)
    - Hotspot/Tethering

Other than that, thats pretty much it.

Apologies if I missed a similar thread, on my phone at the minute.

    Thanks

EDIT: Apologies, forgot to add, Im open to whatever it costs, so no budget constraints!

Galaxy Note 2 is the best there is in my opinion having owned an S3 and still owning a One X. Install flash yourself, but there is a bit of bloatware. Still lightning fast though.

The S4 may be out by then though and that could change things.

Hmm, S4 seems interesting. Didnt expect that until very late this year! It has bluetooth 4.0 which is something Id be looking for. Quad Core 2Ghz processor which should handle some of the stuff (I sometimes need to run server based apps directly off the handset). Upload is ideal as well for streaming!

Just checking out the specs of the HTC One. That seems like it could be a good runner too!

The nexus 4 is a great device, have it a few months now and very happy. Battery is fantastic and the great thing about the Nexus is that you don't get the crappy interfaces that Samsung, HTC, et al stick on top.

The only place where it falls is internal memory, 16GB is the max and it's not extendable. I initially thought this would be an issue but I now stream all my music using Spotify and have no problems with memory. I still have 6GB free with over 100 apps installed.

As far as phones that are yet to be released their are some really interesting ones such as the S4 mentioned earlier due to be announced March 14th I think. Is it early or late April your due an upgrade? The reason I ask is Google I/O conference is mid May and could be worth the extra wait. The Google X phone which is the first Motorola Phone since Google bought them over a year ago is rumored. Google has being talking about huge battery life that's far superior to anything currently available as well as incredible speed and screen.

Forget the S4, this is the one I'm looking forward to seeing.

Its mid April. I dont mind waiting a month or two, but my fear, as with all phones, is that you are constantly waiting for the next "big announcement" which could mean a lead in time of 3 - 6 months before it reaches Irish stores! By then, it could be nearly a year of waiting after an upgrade that I couldve worked against! :D

6 hours of Web browsing. Only two phones can do that. DROID Razor Maxx line and Galaxy Note /2.

Yeah. 6 hours is fairly heavy I know! I dont mind tweaking the device as needed. I have everything on manual and no background data activated to push the battery out. I get from morning, to pretty much going asleep out of one charge.

Truthfully if money is no option then why don't you move to a sim only plan and ditch the upgrade path so that you can buy the S4 sim free at launch

Im paying €35 per month on the eMobile offer of unlimited calls, texts and 15GB data. Too good to pass up!

    As others have said OP.

I'd at least wait until launch of the SGS4, see how it compares with the rest.

Cheers saw your thread on it there today, think ill take a trip down to the meteor shop and test it out.

Like the size of it, seems to hit a sweet spot. Was thinking of the Jiayu G4 but its just too big for me!

The missing FM Radio means its a no for me. Looks like a great phone otherwise.

Went into meteor today to look at the phone and managed to somehow get it stuck in a non usable state, not a good start lol!!
