Alloys do not match 10th anniversary edition.

Not nearly as ugly as mine, a 2007!

But I actually think the new one is nice, I like it especially in white.

I got a thing for white cars lately, the BMW's, Audi's look especially well in white, and white is becoming more common.

I dunno But I'd have to do the check if I were interested + get them to go and inspect it if I was serious, but if it did check out it would be a steal.

But as the ol saying goes, if it's too good to be true........... anyway we'll see.

I said it to the boss and she said NO NO NO, See I'm out of work now, contract ended Friday so I'd have to sell the old one first which I'd get 5500-6000 Euro's or I could buy it and sell the old one when I come back. I'd have to include flights and boat, petrol.

A bargain like that shouldn't be let go if it's real.

I hope to christ I find work soon. I had a great job but contract work is a bitch!

True, they look better in white. Wheels don't help matters either.

Actually if you take off the wheel covers they look good, on the MK II anyway, I never knew why they would put ugly plastic covers on alloys ?

They made I think 1000 for UK market only, they got unique alloys, body kit and leather, here are some pics:

They were specially designed steel wheels. AFAIK they were more aerodynamic without the wheel covers on too!

It's definitely not the anniversary edition, though it does say t-spirit in the description somewhere on the ad, maybe the seller doesn't know ?

Opps, I got rid of the wheel covers. ;)

Didn't notice a difference in fuel consumption either.

I'd imagine it's an extremely small difference.

    HAHA read this.

I am the seller of the 2010 Toyota Prius 1.8 VVTi 10th Anniversary 5dr CVT Auto Hatchback listed on autotrader.
The car is still for sale, HPI clear, both interior and exterior in excellent condition, runs great, never been involved in any accidents.
I am from Finland, city of Lieksa. I had a 3 year contract in the UK as an engineer. Now that the contract is over i moved back to Finland. I took the car with me because i love it and i wanted to keep it.
But i realized that is very difficult to drive a right hand drive here and also to register it here is quite expensive. I also have a company car here so i decided to sell the Prius back to the UK. I tried the local market here but i had no interest in it as it is RHD and due to the fees needed to register it.
The total price would be 4000 GBP.
Due to the fact that my work takes almost all of my time and i don`t spend to much time at home, i asked an international company to take care of the sale and act as a third party for this transaction (i ship the car to you, you send the funds to the third party and as soon as you receive the car, test and agree to keep it you authorize them to release the funds to me).
Or you can come here and take it. Lieksa (where i am) is at 340km from Jyväskylä airport.
Please tell me if you wish to proceed and how.

i`ve also attached some pics. Please see them below. In case you can`t see them please click on show images in your email.

    Kind Regards

The Car has been taken off Autotrader so someone obviously reported it as a scam.

The Reply even went straight into my spam folder lol

Are these people mad or what, would people actually be that stupid ?

Hows that scam work? Stolen car?

    /edit
Ah misread it, thought it said you send the funds to them when you get the car

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,495 ✭✭✭bidiots

Tell him to send the car over, then you'll decide if you like it...string it out and annoy the sh*t out of them:D

These scams must work on some people, why bother keep doing it?

hahaha This is what I replied.

    Hi Heinonen

How about you send the car and I'll get a mechanic to check it out and if i'm happy I'll pay the third party ?

Even better, if you have a paypal account I can send the money straight to you ?

    Regards

They're alloys and apparently the covers make them aerodynamic

The 3rd party shipping company is probably Spanish?

They want you to send the money as transfer and the 3rd party will hold this untill the car is recieved.

This is how the scam works and people do fall for it as the price is so good & everyone is looking for a bargain.
Send money through bank or western union
Money goes into multiple bank accounts- cash disappears never to be seen again.
You wait really excited on the arrival of your new toy(car).
Weeks pass & no sign of any car.
You email the seller no reply.
You ring shipping company phone will not ring(never existed).
You email them & more then likely will get a failed mail or of course no answer.

By the way I'm in Australia and my car is in the UK, I couldn't sell as had to leave suddenly I need £4500 it's a 2011 Navara a shipping comnpany will accept transfer of money as 3rd party :D:D:D:D
