I would love a recipe for a deep pie at least 3 inches deep and the contents not too runny, so you can cut a decent slice and plate it without the contents running away before it hits the plate. Cornflour ? Any Ideas ?
    Thanks

The key item that you require for a deep pie is a dish that is at least 3 inches deep! Use a short crust pastry for the base and puff pastry for the top. Blind bake the base before adding the filling to avoid it becoming soggy. The key to your filling is to provide lots of it and not too much gravy. Make the gravy thick too.

As for recipes, try the bbc good food site, or Delia Smith, or the Hairy Bakers.
