I bought some in Tesco last week.
Tesco in north Dublin though :/

But I am sure if one tesco stocks it others do too.

My tesco (ballybrack) has none, they did have it for a short while, it was very expensive for what it was.

Can't understand why it is not more readily available.

Ok managed to get this in the English Market earlier.

Still would like to know to any of the multiples supply it.

Most local butchers, won't, actually, because they'd have to completely take the mincing machine apart afterwards to clean it. I asked about 4 or 5 different butchers last year, before finally giving up and just using turkey mince instead.

I blitz chicken breasts in the food processor, just a couple of pulses to get it minced.

Are you in Cork city? You can definitely get it from one of the chicken places in the English Market.

EDIT: I see you went there. ;)

I just by chicken breasts and mince them myself in a food processor.

Not quite minced but essentially the same thing.

Just ask for the butcher to mince the turkey for you. Shouldn't be a problem.

I usually buy a 900kg turkey joint in Lidl, its good value. Don't get near a butcher during the week when I do my shopping.

I have seen it in tesco & dunnes, I think tesco have or did have a higher fat version. It is not alongside the beef mince, if thats where you were looking.

If you can find turkey mince that will be a more than adequate replacement for chicken in any dish (actually has better flavour imo). Butchers won't mince chicken because of the cleaning issues. It's just not practical for them to do it as very few people will ever ask for chicken mince.
