    Hi all,

I am hoping that by posting here we will be able to get in contact with some past members of Kilkenny Musical Society- or at the very least that some of you who post here might know some of them so that we can spread the word to them about our 40th Anniversary celebrations.

We will be hosting a Ruby Ball in Langton's Ballroom on Friday March 15th. Tickets are €40 and for that you get a 3 course meal, tea/coffee, entertainment (there will be a band followed by a DJ) and entry into our prize winning draw. It's semi-formal, so no tuxes required but I know a lot of us are still planning on getting our glad-rags on to mark the occasion!

Absolutely ALL are welcome, regardless if you have been a member of KMS at any stage or simply if you would like a night that is guaranteed to be lots of fun!

However, we are eager to try and get in touch with our past members who may not have heard about the event- we would absolutely love to have as many as possible come along to the ball. What a great way to meet up with some old (and not so old!) friends, share some memories and relive the old times! It it not a cabaret evening in the sense that KMS members will not be performing on the night (we deserve a night to party too!) but there will still be plenty of music and dancing on the night as music is provided by The Swinging Bluecats followed by DJ Dave Dooley.

It should be an absolutely brilliant night, but will be made all the better by the people who have shaped KMS into the society it is today being present- so whether you were ever a performer, helped out backstage or in any way at all, or you were even an audience member, please come and celebrate our 40th anniversary with us! It is open seating although a table can be reserved for parties of 10.

Tickets are available from Langton's or from members of the KMS committee (we rehearse on Wednesdays at 8pm in O'Faolain's so they can be gotten from us then too). More info can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/418015521608400/?fref=ts or our website www.kilkennymusicalsociety.com or simply PM me here if anyone has any questions.

    Thanks all!
