Laptop Charger Compatibility

    Hi Guys,

In my infinite wisdom I managed to forget my laptop charger at a meeting in Belfast. While the company I've been dealing with say they will be able to courier the charger back to me, in the meantime, I need to find a replacement.

The laptop in question is a Toshiba Satellite pro c660 series. I currently have two laptop chargers I was hoping to use with it:

    AC Adapter - Series PPP009H
    Input: 100-240V - 1.7A, 50-60Hz
    Output: 18.5v - 3.5A, 65W

Kensington AC Adapter - Model K33402
    Input: 100-240VAC, 50-60Hz, 1.5A Max
    Output: 90W

Does anybody know if either charger is compatible with the Satellite Pro c660 series? The spec for the adapter that came with the laptop are, I think, as follow:

AC Adapter - Autosensing (100/240V) for worldwide usage
    Output Voltage: 19V
    Input Voltage: 3.43A

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't come across a toshiba that's sensitive to charger type like dell machines are.

There appears to be no communications wire in ths Toshiba's, so anything should work, provided its right voltage. (19v )
    65W or better

Kensingtons seem very expensive, reasonable quality.

Any 19V 3.42A (or higher amp) PSU with a 2.5mm tip will work fine - these laptops aren't fussy.

I'm guessing the 18.5V one is from a HP. It probably won't physically fit (usually a 1.8mm tip), but if it does then it should work.

    Thanks Guys!

Appreciate the feedback. The Kensington worked a treat once we had the right plug adapter fitted for it.

Anyways, thanks again for the feedback. Much appreciated!
