    Looks interesting.

    "Partially Deceased Syndrome" :D

Thing about these BBC3 things, is that they get one season and don't really wrap it up - like The Fades.

    Will definitely watch this.

March 17th is the expected air date (taking 'Being Human's slot?)... been following it a while on Den Of Geek (who';ll be posting a spoiler free review of the first episode later this week).

Preferred a lot of the promo stills to that actual trailer.

Still.. if it's even half as good as 'The Fades' (curse you BBC3! :(), I'll be happy!

I imagine the catering budget on the Walking Dead is higher than what In the Flesh will have cost.

I dunno, I'd rather have 3 well-crafted episodes that made full use of a modest budget, than a dozen drawn-out stories that stretch the budget too thin.

I was quite impressed with the episode; while I'm generally sick to death (hoho!) with zombies at this stage, this series shows there are still some original stories left to tell; the idea of people recovering from zombism is a nice twist, along with all the fallout and tensions that'd naturally create in the aftermath. That aftermath itself felt fresh: when you think about it, few zombie tales ever deal with the idea that maybe humanity 'won' & how society might readjust itself

I also like the potential timebomb that the medication is constant & potentially imperfect; it made the HVF seem more legitimate than just a bunch of gunhappy locals.

Well, those were a really well constructed, acted, powerful, and excellent three episodes. Its just a crying shame that it won't be anywhere near as successful as it deserves to be. Yes, zombies have started to become oversaturated, but this was an interesting new take.

Fully finished that episode - the last confrontation,
when the father gave out to Kieran for running away and then discovering his body
    , was incredibly powerful.

What a wonderful story of love, of acceptance, of life, death, and the people that can be left behind.

Pretty strong, emotional ending allright, brought things nicely to the boil for the Walker family, though the other plot strands kinda fizzled out a little - particularly the one around the mysterious undead website; this faction of PDS sufferers were highlighted at the start of the series, so it was odd it got dropped; Amy seemed to have a link with it too, but her storyline also came to nothing. I suppose it could be argued it's material for season 2...

My only other real complaint is that some of the characterisation was a bit too broad & 2-dimensional. The conviction and strength of the acting made up for it, but some of the character types were a bit too stereotyped: the gruff, ay-up rural patriarch; the sensitive & arty youngster who - guess what -
    turns out to be gay
; the fire & brimstone preacher; etc etc.

The BBC have announced a second series of In The Flesh.
Writer Dominic Mitchell says: “I am absolutely delighted and thrilled to be given this fantastic opportunity to continue exploring the characters and world of In The Flesh.”

Zai Bennett, Controller, BBC Three, says: “In The Flesh was a fantastically original and engaging drama for BBC Three. I'm delighted Dominic and the team will be able to tell more stories from the riveting characters and engaging world they created.”

Kate Harwood, BBC Head Drama, England, adds: “It is testament to the brilliant and talented in-house drama team in Salford that In The Flesh has been commissioned as a series. I am immensely proud of Dominic’s fantastic writing and can’t wait to see how the stories unfold.”

In The Flesh will film later this year and transmit in 2014 on BBC Three.

Though it's being reported as an "extended" series by Broadcast with six episodes likely, the BBC has yet to confirm exactly how long we'll be spending with Kieren and co.

Glad to hear it; the personal story in the 3-parter was tied off with a strong emotional climax, but there were a lot of loose threads left lying around & there's certainly a lot of potential in this world.

Really enjoyed this, and glad to hear they're making a few more episodes. Here's hoping they don't make an absolute balls of it.

This is coming back in May, a really good and interesting take on the Zombie genre.

    Glad to see it returning.

I look forward to it, the first series had some interesting ideas and breathed life into an otherwise tired genre; though given BBC3's future closure, unless it's picked up by BBC2 or another channel, series two will likely be the last.

They've certainly left it open for a third season anyway.

    Season 2 was brilliant.
