I intend to visit a Zoigl pub in Bavaria at Easter.

It will be in the town called Windischeschenbach.

    What should I expect?

I realise it's part of somebody's house, set up as a part-time pub.

    Will the staff be friendly?

    Is food/snacks typically available?

Will they be open at noon?

Can I just sit - drink - read, like in a typical Irish pub?

    Anybody been to zoigl land????

    THANKS.

Oh luck you, fresh beer, lager but not the generic euro trash or industrial Pils that Europe is as wash with. It will generally be unfiltered with a bit of haze, but will be much more flavoursome.

They appear to be family and community friendly, they don't look like the type of place that would welcome a stag party.

Ron Patterson, a beer historian has a good number of bog posting on them that maybe be useful to you

    Enjoy :)
