Does anyone know where I can buy or get made a hardwood exterior front door without a handle? I would still like it to have a decent locking system .

    Thanks

Carrolls Joinery in Bluebell industrial estate should be able to look after you. Failing that just go to any good Joinery and they can make one for you. but it might be a little dearer.

€280?!! I have had quotes from munster joinery & 2/3 joiners & all quotes are in & around €1400 but so far they have all told me for a decent locking system, I would need a handle on the outside of the door to engage the lock.

I thought I should be able to get something where a simple key turn would engage lock

hi went by Carroll s joinery today just to make sure i wasn t mistaken

and that is the price (280 euro)for an external hardwood I suppose when

add cost of frame locks etc it would be nearer 500 euro hope that helps.:)

Most doors are not supplied with a lock or handle fitted, so any decent door supply company should be able to provide what you want ex stock. The carpenter that fits it will then have to fit the specific locking system that you want, along with the appropriate operating system, but an external handle does not have to be part of that fitting.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Yale have a pull plate which fits around the key cylinder. Your index Finger just fits under it to pull the door closed. No need for any other type of handle. The whole thing is about 2 inches by 2.5 inch in size. You can also get a Multi locking system which is rebated into the edge of the Door and locks with just the key. Similar to whats used on PVC Doors, So all you would have on the Door is an escutcheon plate.
