Which Gaeltacht would suit me best?

I'm currently 16 and in 5th year, and recently took up a notion to go to the Gaeltacht this coming summer. I've never been before, but have heard nothing but good reviews of it from my friends who have been. Thankfully, my main reason for going isn't to drastically improve my Irish (I got a B in the Junior Cert and 79% in my recent Christmas tests), but rather to have good fun as Gaeilge! Also, I'm not the sportiest of people but would perhaps like to become more sporty during my stay.
My question though is which of the many Gaeltachts would suit me best? My main request would be somewhere where learning Irish and fun are present in equal measure? Thanks in advance!

Doesn't your school organise a trip? You'd have most fun going wherever your friends are going tbh.

No I don't think my school organises any trip to a Gaeltacht. And my friends are going to a wide variety of Gaeltachts, some to Colaiste Na bhFiann, some to Uisce, some to Cholumba, etc. I'm just not sure which one!

I would recommend spleodar. This is great company that runs gealtachts for all age groups. The standard of irish is good and the craic is ninety. Last year when i went there was a choice of many other activities beside sport e.g cooking dancing, art, card and board games etc. Also the callíni were great their ;)
