New Video Card upgrade advice?

Hi Folks,

Only found out lately that my current GPU (GTX260) wont do Crysis 3 . Don't think it's a game I want to play on the console either. Due to this I think an update is on the cards.
I am going to be buying a few components for another build off hardwareversand so links on there would be great . What I'm looking for:
1920x1080 res. Med/High visuals in games (i.e: Crysis 3 and others).
Would a budget of €130/140 be good? Preferably ATI also, think Nvidia have screwed me around enough with the whole 8 series debacle and lacking DX10 (think the ATIs at the time had DX11 ).
Would this be much use? My overall system spec is pretty good as I only updated it before xmas, as you can see from my sig. Basically want a cheap but decent upgrade.

I think a 7870 is what you want. Will be good for Crysis 3 medium/High settings.
Should set you back about €200 so a bit over budget.

Cheers for the reply. Way way over budget unfortunately . Not a hardcore gamer these days so couldn't justify that and I also baught a new 27" LED panel the other day . Would performance on the card I linked be poor in Crysis 3 :O . The GTX260 does quite well with Crysis 1 and 2. I'm not into maxing the game, the odd high settings here and there

I got a 7870 for about 170 on sale(no free games though :S) about a month ago, might be worth waiting a while and sniping a deal when one comes along.

If you could stretch to even a 1GB HD7850 for about €150 it would be a huge improvement.

I can get about 50 FPS on all V. high settings (FXAA) with a 2GB version (Not sure on crysis 3 vram usage but 1GB should be ok when not using any MSAA)

So this would suit you think guys? If so I'll go for it . Want to get a card that will have some future proofing, I take it the next Xbox will use DX11 so I doubt it's going anywhere any time soon. (Quite surprising really Crisis 3 is coming out on Xbox that uses DX9 and doesn't support DX10 on PC :P )

The 7850 is a big step up from a 7770 so you should be happy with it for the price.

Thanks for the advice folks, went for this 7850 in the end. It looks like it is a considerable improvement over the 7770. First ATI card ever for me also .

Cheers folks, I reckon the 2GB variant would be overkill for my needs. Sure I'm only a single player gamer anyways . Not into cracking up AA and all that kinda stuff either so I figure at 1080p I won't have an issue
