Certain keys on keyboard stopped working

Hi, I was playing a game on my laptop last night, when all of a sudden the w key stopped working. I then found out that the s key was also unfunctional, along with the x button and the number 2. All of these keys are diagonal to each other on the keyboard. Just wondering what the issue may be?

check to see that nothing is under them
if you can, try and reseat the keyboard to see if that resolves it otherwise look to replacing it altogether
