Good choices for the most part.

The cpu cooler is overkill for a 3570k. That ram is only 1066 mhz. Psu is overkill unless you plan on going multi gpu with everything overclocked.

If you aren't ordering for a few months just wait until then. There should be new gpu's and cpu's out by then.

What cooler would you recommend? What I like about the PSU is that it's modular and 80 plus gold. I can see myself adding a second 7950 in the future.. or if I wait dual 8950s.

I don't mind waiting if new GPUs and CPUs are just a few months down the line.

Are you going to overclock your CPU? It's a lot to spend on a cooler to be honest. It's the thing that sticks out the most in terms of reducing costs. Maybe this? It's not pretty and not at all easy to install but you can't argue with it's results. It's a monster. I don't think AMD are releasing very much if anything this year. I think they're working on the consoles. To be honest waiting on new stuff to release is a never ending game when it comes to computers.

the motherboard you have chosen is a 'special item' just so you are aware.

    • replaced by manufacturer • Cable • Aperture missing missing • Packaging: NO BOX

Yeah I plan on overclocking. The reason why I went for the water cooling solution was because of it's neatness in the case and my brother has a similar closed looped cooling solution which works quite well at keeping the CPU cool at all times. I know what you mean by waiting endlessly but sometimes it pays off when you want to upgrade for the long-term.

Thanks for letting me know. Sometimes it bodes well to look at the small print. I'll go for the version with the packaging if that's the case.

It's a great cooler no doubt although I'd spend a little more for the h110 if you were going that route.

3570k's run pretty cool. You could get a 4.5ghz overclock with a cheap coolermaster 212 evo cooler and still be around 60-65c load. You might get 4.6 or 4.7 with the h110 at those temps. It's up to you if it's worth €70-80 for those small gains.

Imo you would be better off getting a 3770k for that extra money or wait and see what Haswell brings.

At 1080p monitor resolution you arent going to see a huge amount of difference with the stock HD7950 over say a stock HD7870 which could save you ~ €50.

Up to yourself obviously where the value for money cuts are - though i would agree with Bloodbath on the cooler -
