Hi I was interviewed for a position back in late november, a few days later I got an email saying my interview had been sucessful and I've been offered the position.

Two weeks after that I got a phone call from the hiring manager to ask was I still interested and available for the position to which I replied yes and he said he would be in touch very soon with a start date.

I heard nothing over the xmas so I emailed early Jan asking if there was any news yet on a start date, to which they replied that the manager is still coming up with a start date but it would be in the not too distant future and they will be in touch as soon as they know.

So, I emailed last thursday asking again if there is any news on the position and I haven't got a reply yet, am I wasting my time here? Has anybody else been in this position?

You've got nothing without a contract from them. Keep on looking!

    Ring them.

It's far easier to ignore an email rather than a phone call.

chances are the job was given to a relation of a CEO - best of luck with the job-hunting.

Call centres have a habit of doing this. Until you're signed up keep looking.
