HDR Fox T2 - no record series option visible, plus box freezes in keyword search?

    I'm not seeing any "Record Series" option in the EPG even when I select programmes like Coronation Street on UTV in Freeview. Why is this? All I can select is "Record the whole programme" or "Reminder".

    I've set padding to off and still the option does not appear. Does it matter if padding is on or off with regards to series link? Are there any other settings that may be stopping series link?

    Living near the border in Louth receiving both Saorview and Freeview.

    The second problem is the box freezes completely when trying to use the keyword search facility in the EPG on Freeview channels, but works ok with the same search of Saorview channels.

    I have to power the box off then on to get it working again.

    Box software version is 1.02.29

    I had this PVR since 26th October 20112
    Software version - FHTCP-1.02.29
    I have no problem with series link recording on either Freeview or Saorview.

    Thanks souriau. Does the keyword search in the EPG work with your box on both Saorview and Freeview? (in the EPG, press the green button (find) and enter a word).

    Yes, it works well on both formats, when searching, I have to select Freeview or Saorview first, i.e. press guide and then whatever populate the EPG guide first is the one I can search on, say Freeview. if I want to search on Saorview, then I have to go down the EPG guide to 800 to RTE listing and then press select to get that populate then I can search Saorview, sadly this PVR can't search both, Freeview and Saorview, at the same time.

    Downloaded latest software version, 1.02.32, from Humax website which has been available since 31 January 2013.

    Also did a rescan. No change though, no series link option available when trying to set recordings on Freeview or Saorview channels, plus box continues to freeze totally attempting a keyword search of Freeview channels in the EPG.

    Just discovered that having the country set to Ireland in the hidden menu disables series link. Set it to England and the series link option appears. Same for both Saorview and Freeview channels. Changing country to England seems to have cured the box freezing with the keyword search too.

    To get to hidden menu:

    Menu > Settings > System > System Information > Red > Green > Yellow > Blue > Green > Yellow > Blue

    Don't know how this will affect the summer time issue in the EPG that's been mentioned before, as setting the country to Ireland was meant to have dealt with this.
