after last years shambles with the IOC and restesting of athens samples i thought i'd send off an email to wada/iaaf for the crack and see if they're doing anything.

i already posted up my intention on letsrun recently

    hi

i'm enquiring about the retesting of athlete samples from the helsinki 2005 world championships

and i have a few questions if you can possibly help with answering them i'd appreciate it.

1.Can you tell me how many samples from helsinki have been retested subsequent to the games

2.Do you know approximately how many samples will be retested before the expiration of the 8yr deadline

3.Do you know if all the gold medallists from the games will have their samples retested

    regards A N other

    any thoughts ??

the reason it caught my attention was the obvious shambles last year when the IOC reluctantly retested a few samples and busted a few no-namers

and also rashid ramzi and justin gatlin were both DOUBLE gold medallists and still retain their titles even though they were later busted.

1,2,3,4 in the womens 1500m were later busted for peds but still retain their medals

    and there's many more.......................
