Facebook relationship status

    Hi, not sure if this is the right section or not but mods please move if not.

    Without going into the back story, I need to hide my relationship status. My boyfriend says he has already 'hidden' his but he is not technologically minded and can't remember what he did. There is no mention of me or of his being in a relationship on his fb but mine still says in a relationship with ___. Now I know you can change your relationship status to blank but at least in the past that used to change the other person to single also? Does it still do this? And is there a way of hiding it from the public while keeping it yourself?

    I don't get what your asking. You want to hide to only be able to see it yourself?


    Just hide it altogether. Why would you need to see it yourself?

    Go into your timeline.

    Click on "About" under your picture.

    Click on "Edit" in Basic info.

    Go down to "in a relationship with..."

    Click on the little blue people icon and select "only me" or "custom" to play around with the settings.

    You can also check it worked by clicking on "settings", then click "timeline and tagging settings" and you choose to view your timeline the way someone on your friends list would see it.
