Buying and Selling calves

    hi lads and ladies,,
    im buying freasin bull calves for about two or three fellas thats rearing them at the moment, sourcing them at the mart and private to, im just putting them straight into there herd number,,
    ive my own herd number. but was just wondering could i buy calves in my herd number and keep them a week or two and sell on again ?? All advice welcome cheers!

    yes, you can buy and sell 100 cattle in any 12 month period without requiring a dealers licence,if you want to sell anymore than that and dont want a dealers licence you must hold them for 30 days which would require buying young calves and be fairly sure of a sale before 6 weeks so you dont have to tb test and to also have had held them 30 days

    so i can buy say in the mart monday and sell them the following thursday without getting pulled up on it or keeping them 30 days?!
    hope to make few bob at i know it wont make ya up but every little helps:D

    yep just as long as they dont go over the 42 days in that few days,

    sher if ya can make some few bob ya might as well, best of luck at it
