Just done a theory test

Just done a driver theory test for the motorbike licence.

    38/40

The result sheet says I got questions wrong on:

Characteristics of Various types of road and

    Riding your motorcycle

It does not tell me which questions I got wrong though.

Now I don't really care; but if I had failed, and I had say, 15 wrong on roadsigns or something else really vague like that I think of be put out.

Should you not be told exactly what you got wrong, especially if you pass so you know what to look up??

Realistically it's a rare thing if anyone driving has ever looked at the ROTR/Theory test book after passing their theory test / full test.

In fairness you probably should, but because the test is a random 40 out of the pool of questions. Basically, there'd be no point telling someone to specifically study X, Y and Z because the chances X Y and Z will appear on the next theory test are slim. The idea is you should know everything that can possibly come up, and that the X/40 mark is representative of your understanding of the full ROTR question pool, not just "Can you pass if you're given only these questions"

It's a long time since I did my theory, but "Characteristics of Various types of road" sounds like a question on if braking distance/etc is longer/shorter/equal on say, cobblestone road compared to tarmac. I vaguely remember something like that on my test.

In general those tests are a joke.
First of all they are too easy. It's not really about learning the rules, but about remembering the questions from the book.
Secondly, many questions have very little to do with real road traffic rules and regulations (so even if you were a specialist on rules of the road and all road traffic law applicable in this country, but didn't see the questions before, you would fail the test.
And thirdly, many of those questions contain mistakes, which is actually a shame, as you have to memorize something which is wrong.

When it comes to questions for DRIVER CPC for truck and bus drivers it's even worse.

One of the questions seemed to have 2 correct answers

One has none too. The one about coming across an accident, there's no option to ignore it and keep driving :D

In the USA, most or all of the questions relate to legal issues - speed limits, right turn on red, DUI etc. They tell you the correct answers to any questions you got wrong so that you cannot claim ignorance of the relevant law later.

    There's a bunch of those.

There's also one where there're cars driving along with their lights on, on what's obviously a raining dual carriageway, with a motorcyclist up ahead.

Standard 'What hazard should you be aware of question'

Apparently, reduced visibility was the wrong answer. The correct one was the motorcyclist being blown into the opposite line.

There're some daft ones in there.

I had one like that, the options were reduced visibility and another was reduced grip.

I went with grip, I don't know if it was right I got one wrong in the road surfaces section. That could have been it.
