The Gain Feeds Irish Cesarewitch starts on March 16th.
Special Trainers Bonus this year of €1000.
Gain Feeds have just confirmed their sponsorship of the 2013 Gain Feeds Irish Cesarewitch. The 2013 Classic is due to start on Saturday March 16th and it has been decided to finish it up with a traditional Sunday meeting on the 7th April. It comes with a bumper prize fund of in excess of €19,000 and an increased prize of €8,500 to the winner. There is however a twist for the 2013 competition. Gain Feeds have kindly sponsored a bonus for the winning trainer, meaning that there is an extra €1000 up for grabs for the trainer of the winning greyhound. This applies to Public, Private and Owner trainers and should add a bit of extra spice to this year’s competition. Mullingar Greyhound Stadium are delighted to have Gain back on board for another year and would like to express their gratitude for the continued support received over the last number of years. This along with the recently announced More To Gain Voucher initiative reaffirms Gain’s commitment to support the core industry for owner, trainer and patrons of the industry.

STARS CLASH IN CESAREWITCH HEATS

The draw has thrown up some very interesting clashes in the first round of the Gain Feeds Irish Cesarewitch at Mullingar on Saturday night.
In the third heat Kingo, beaten less than a length in the 2011 Cesarewitch final and dual winner of the Betfair 600, comes up against the Tyrur McGuigan 575 runner-up Ringtown Snowy while Jaytee Dancer is another interesting runner.
Last year’s finalist Dynamic Dawn goes in Heat 2 where among her rivals are recent Shelbourne 31.15 winner Ringtown Snowy and the brilliant bitch Highview Beauty.
John McGee’s Gizmo Classic would be the fancy of many to win this classic and the powerful finisher is ideally drawn in trap six in Heat 4 where the very useful stayer Oneco Cool and very capable Barefoot Duke are among his rivals.
The final heat has attracted John McLaughlin’s Tyrur McGuigan 575 winner Slip The Genie and among her rivals is the intriguing big finishing Priceless Pilot.
