    hi guy's

I have returned to training after 25 months without any training after breaking my leg. I have started with just crosstrainer, bike, and treadmill. Im doing 20 minutes on each at the moment. Im doing this about 6 weeks now and have not lost any weight. Im currently 15st 1pound and started off basically the same weight. I think I am putting on a little muscle so was wondering was this the reason why I haven't lost weight. Im looking to get to around 13.4st.

    any help would be appreciated

You should take measurements & photos, just measuring one thing is not great for tracking fat loss.

If you broke your leg you will probably have a fair amount of muscle to rebuild.

diet was not great but towards what it was before I started to train its much better. I only eat breakfast , dinner , and have a small snack later. I would have porridge, chicken salad, sandwich one of the days next day I might have 2 slice's of toast , roast beef with roast spuds and veg, next day then I might have toast, chicken gougons with a frozen piece of fish , and sambo late at night. I would have a glass of coke with main meals.

today I had 2 slices of real brown bread toast, chicken dinner with baby potatoes, and later will have small bowl of cereal...

from tomorrow no coke, no bread and will be having porridge in the mornings and will be making my own pasta salad's

You need to seriously sort out your diet, then you will lose weight.
You are eating minimal protein, no decent fats and a heap of crappy carbs....thats why you are not losing weight.

Start by working out how many calories you need to lose weight. BW in lbs x 12 is a good place to start.

Then start logging the food you eat on a site like myfitnesspal or fitday.

Try to arrange all meals around a source of protein i.e. eggs for breakfast, chicken for lunch, steak/fish for dinner.

Yeh porridge would be better than cereal anyway.

Also you are not a child anymore. Try eggs again. They can be cooked so many different ways.

the smell of eggs make me sick. I have actually got sick quite a few times just by smelling them even at partys with the egg sambo's or even when the wife would cook a fried egg....

How many times a week do you train, and do you ever do strength work?

seriously Dude, Coke!?? Cut it out completely, if you are consuming soft drinks regularly, you could easily be taking in as many calories as you burn in a gym session. Try to have fresh fish and chicken fillets instead of the breaded, frozen ones...

His diet isn't that bad. Boards fitness forum hasn't changed in years, people jumping on the 'tell us your diet' train :)

It took about 10 posts until someone asked him how often he trains. OP, most likely you are taking it far too easy in the gym and probably not going enough either..?

Cardio man, Try running more, you dont need a long workout in the gym to make it effective. Instead train smart instead of training hard, Do research on your own diet and gym program, Youtube is quite helpful and try twin muscle workout on youtube they are funny as **** aswell, Get in the habit of reading 1 article a day about a certain exercise related topic. Good luck son!!

Well in fairness he stated he's returned to the gym and not losing any weight, he didn't mention diet.
