If Boards was a novel...

...what novel would it be and why?

Personally I'd go with 'Animal Farm'.

It started out as a casual idea but over time it got so big that commercial realities took over and it had to start playing the same rules as the other big commercial organisations.

We have the founders who we don't really hear much from anymore
We have the ambitious youngsters who now pretty much run things these days
We have had a version of the Napoleon/Snowball schism
We have a few old workhorses who just keep doing things for the benefit of the site
    We have everyone else
And we have all users being equal but sometimes it seems that some users are more equal than others.

Anyway AH, if you were to compare Boards to a novel, what novel would it be, and why?

The Bible. Nothing makes any sense and people keep trying to blame everyone else. A good laugh though.

    Perfectly cromulent phraseology.

After Hours is probably more akin to "Lord of the Flies" than anything.

    The House of Leaves tbh.

A really random book with no defined genre. Some say it's a horror, some say a Love Story.
