I've had my xperia arc for well over a year now. Coverage has been fine up until about a week ago, now I can't get a signal anywhere except for the city centre! I rang Vodafone & they disconnected and reconnected me but the problem remains. I don't know much about phones so I'm trying to figure out if the problem is most…

I don't know much about phones so I'm trying to figure out if the problem is most likely hardware related or do I just need a software upgrade? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

How old is your SIM card? If it hasn't been replaced in a while it could be the problem - it happened me not long after I got mine, kept dropping calls, popped into the shop and the first thing they did was have a look at the SIM, then replaced it for me, which solved the problem.
