NCT and Insurance question

    Folks

    If your NCT expires and you are on a long waiting list for a test beyond your control are you covered by your insurance company during that time?

    Call them and ask them.

    It could be argued that you're not covered but the Insurer if pressed would need to show that the fault was a contributory factor of the mishap.

    Some insurers have policy wordings to exclude the own damage/loss element of a claim without a current NCT. Third Party aspect of the claim will not be affected
