    Hey,

Not sure if anyones been in the same boat or knows the best way to go from using one HDD to another of equal size.

I've cloned the older 500gb disk using Acronis onto another Momentus XT hybrid drive and looking at the 2 disks they are both equal size now in 'my computer'. Do I need to physically take both disks out and swap them around to boot into the new one or am I able to change drive letters for example?

I'm planning on formatting the old one then and dragging stuff across to it from the new one.

I had bad dealings with this in the past but this was for dual / triple booting. trying to get mentally prepared for when i'm home laters

    cheers in advance

for anyone that wants to know I got it sorted anyway by (possibly the long way) swapping out the disks. When I booted up I got 'bootmgr is missing press CTRL+Alt+delete' which I was half expecting. I then used the windows repair disk to repair installation and all is working fine now.

;) Mods you can close this thread.
