Before Xmas i started looking at getting a new pc, however due to some set backs im only now starting to get around to start planning and buying it! So i was hoping for some advise on a few matters as my last few pcs where direct from dell!

    1. What is your budget? [€2500 (approx)]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming (FPS like COD, CS GO etc)/Work, for my work i need around 4 hard drives internal, after that its just word power-point etc)

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? NO

    5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes looking for fast response rate!]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [23-24']

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [NO]

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes (maybe!)]

    9. When are you purchasing? [In no rush.. though have to have it up and running before August]

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [N.Dublin]

Ok before when i posted about this pc, i posted what i was looking for but really so much has changed i am going to start from fresh.

Question on sockets - i was going to get the 2011 and a ASRock X79 Extreme 11 S2011 Intel X79 DDR3 ATX, however i then started thinking about the 1155 - maybe the i7-3770k and the gigabyte z77x-up7 board, though after doing some research i am not sure, alot of forums says the s2011 is the one to go with, but others say it is a short lived socket, and others then say to Wait for the 1150 in JUNE.... very lost on this matter :(

After this, really any build ideas anyone has, and anything you think i should get would be great.

Some small points that may help-
-I need a motherboard that can Wake on Lan, Also Graphics are important to me :),
-In games like CS GO im sick of having a FPS lower then 100 :(
-My pc is on around 18 hours a day, so i need to to be able to stay cool (my current pc by the end of day is close to been on fire...), and also it would be great if the pc did not eat power however with the amount of kit im told ill need around 1000w power..
    Think thats about it..

    Ty.

If you aren't building until August i suggest you come back then. There will be new cpu's and gpu's out by then so any recommendations now will be redundant by then.

The likes of cod and cs-go would run at 100+fps on a €500 build assuming you have a monitor with a refresh rate of 100+hz to take advantage of it. Those engines are hardly stressful.

I'd say €1500 tops for a high spec pc.

For €2500, you could get a watercooled computer. It's the only way forward if you're looking for complete silence, and extremely low temperatures (within a few degrees of your ambient). If you're interested, talk to Serephucus: he's the resident watercooling guy.

Anyway, this is what I would go for if it was my own money (AKA super stingy, not spending more than what's needed):
    Item|Price
    8GB G.Skill PC3-12800U CL11-11-11-28|€40.70
    ASRock Z77 Pro3, Sockel 1155, ATX|€82.94
    Intel Core i5-3570K Box, LGA1155|€199.81
    Thermalright True Spirit 140 BW|€39.90
    Crucial M4 128GB SSD 6,4cm (2,5")|€99.63
Club 3D Radeon HD 7970 royalAce Ghz Edition, 3GB GDDR5, AMD Radeon HD 7970, PCI-Express|€396.51
be quiet! Pure Power L8 CM|€79.22
Nanoxia Deep Silence Two Dark Black, ohne Netzteil|€85.64
    MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SB-Version Englisch|€81.61
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€1124.95

That's without a monitor, or hard drives. How much storage do you actually need? Would you be able to make do with 2x2TB WD greens or something? You'd need something like that if you wanted silence.

I highly doubt you need a Socket 2011 set up, unless you're doing some ridiculous work. The whole rig should pull about <500 watts under full load, but there's a 630 watt PSU included because of the make. It's a virtually silent PSU, I know that to be a fact because it's sitting two feet away from me.

Cooling wise, this thing is great. The case itself is built for silence, but it still has good airflow. All of the other parts would be pretty much standard; they're used in virtually every build here on this forum.

Also, I'd happily build it for you for free :). It is our hobby, after all.

EDIT: August? I didn't see that... You're best bet would be to come here a week or so before you plan to buy, as computer parts move forward quickly and a build that I spec you now could be obsolete in the summer.
