Hey new to the fourm and just have a couple questions..
I started doing weights in the gym a few weeks ago. I currently do 3 days a week. I weigh 80 kg and am a slim build. My goal is to try and bulk up as much as i can. In regards to my diet I dont follow any strict plan but do try and eat foods with a high protien content..eg fish, eggs, chicken.. Just wondering if anyone has any advice for me to speed up the bulking process without going over the top perfecting a diet plan...

    thanks

My advice is to stop trying to spped up the process.....when it comes to building muscle and also losing fat...slow and steady is the way to go!! Eat right, train hard...and it will happen....just be patient!!

You say you don't follow any strict diet plan but are you aware of how many calories you consume daily? And how much protein?

Diet is just as important as the actual workout in order to effectively build muscle, and consistency is key. That doesn't mean you need a super strict professional athlete's diet, but you do need to know roughly how much you're eating and what you're eating. If you have a smart phone there are apps to help you track these things (I use MyFitnessPal, it works great imo).

Check the "Fitness; The Basics" sticky at the top of this forum for more in-depth advice.
