Roughly how long after you leave a job should you receive your P45

Well done on the new job. Usually a P 45 will issue about a week after you get your last payment. Any longer, you should ring for it.

Yeah, it will usually be issued at the same time as the final payment run.

In the meantime, as your new employer for their PAYE registration number. Ring revenue, give them the number and your PPS number, tell them what date you started in your new job and they will update your records and will send out a new tax cert to your new employer. Much quicker than waiting on your P45 and possibly paying emergency tax. I would do it now, so that you might be able to have it sorted before the end of the month pay day comes along, that way you might be able to avoid emergency tax.

Roughly 2 weeks to a month varies depending on the company and how quick admin/payroll are processing the information and how soon they get it sorted through the revenue.

From what I can remember can be issued in around the time of last payment.
