Hi, I am just looking for some advice regarding booking a flight to San Francisco. Myself and a couple of mates are travelling there in July for 3 weeks. We are hoping to fly around the 3rd week in July and return mid August but have noticed the flights are very expensive(€900-€1100) compared to May or June which are €600-€700.Is there likely to be any sale on seats between now and then or are we as well to book them now to avoid paying any more? Maybe someone who has travelled at this time of year could help me? Thanks

Possibly, but it's quite a popular time of year so naturally if the airlines think they can sell seats at a higher price..that's just what they'll do.

use any of the price comparison websites to see what's out there, trying flying out and back midweek, it's usually cheaper. We got the last 2 weeks in June for 500 return, but I couldn't see July/August for any less than 800

I go back and forth from the west coast a few times a year, Prices vary throughout the year based on demand but that seems "normal" for that time of year.

If you went in January it would probably only be around 400.

There's also less chance of getting last minute deals when the demand is at its highest... but you never know...
