Drove to Mallow last night in the dark which I don't do often and was amazed to see the crash barriers in the vicinity of Rosskeen Motors have red reflectors on them on the OFFSIDE and there were some white reflectors on the verge on the NEARSIDE. I thought the convention would be to have then the other way around. This is potentially dangerous I would have thought!

Certainly is dangerous! However outside of the TSM reference to red and white reflectors, do the general motoring public know what the reflectors are supposed to convey? Doesn't take from the fact that they've been installed ar$eways though

TSM 6.22.2 Hazard Markers consist of corner cube reflectors mounted on low posts in the verge. The reflectors shall consist of either a 60mm wide by 210mm high reflectorised strip or three 60mm reflectorised discs mounted in a vertical line at 75mm centres. The colour of the reflectors shall be red on the left hand side edge of the carriageway and white on the right hand side.
