Recording saorview

    Hi just a quick question
    What is the easiest way to record from a saorview tv ?Is this possible if so whats needed?thanks

    a good question, it depends on the model of tv and usually you can only record the programme you are watching but newer tv's may be better. The idea is simple, tv will have a USB socket, you buy a usb stick and the bigger the better but 16gb is a start. You plug usb stick into usb socket on tv, find the menu or read the manual that will tell you which key to press to record. In fact read manual carefully as you will need to format stick to match tv file format.

    thats it but not ideal.

    or you might have a TV like mine, where the USB socket is only for some 'service' functions and cannot be used for input or output of video.

    Yeah TVs need to have PVR Ready software built-in to make use of the USB port like that.

    Many of them are just for viewing photos or playing MP3 files.
