    Hi folks,

I'm thinking of importing a 2005 car from UK. The car was not sold new in UK car and was imported there back in 2010.

The V5 document states Date of 1st Registration as 2010 but doesn't appear to list the year of 1st registration anywhere. This obviously has a huge affect on the VRT.

Anyone get around this one ?

    Was it imported from Japan?

The English Revenue will have that and look throughout the log book it should have it but if not they will have the info also if you do a history(hpi) check that should give you all the info.

Yes it was first sold in Japan.

Thanks for the info on HPI, they are listing it as 2005.
