    I am having my braces put in in a months time on a recent check up I was told I would need 2 implants in right side back teeth and 1 implant on bottom six months after braces are put in . My implants cost 3500 with the crowns and my braces only cost 3000 .I was only told only on my 4th visit about the implants my question is do I really need the implants or is it just cosmetic .please give me advice thank you

    If you have a recent X-ray you should send it to some other dentists. I think they can usually give you a fair idea of what work you need done from that. Costs nothing and might give you peace of mind if they recommend similar treatment.

    A dentist would need to see you in person,an X-ray alone (all X-rays are 2 dimensional anyway) is not enough in your specific case.

    It would be like sending a builder a photo of a house& asking him how much repairs/refurb would cost, from the photo alone...
