Best way to cut a 4 inch hole in aluminium soffit?

    I want to vent my kitchen extractor out from where it is now which is in the attic space just sitting at the eaves!, to outside.

    I have the fitting which will require me to cut a 4 inch hole on the underside of the soffit so that I can connect the extractor fan hose to it.

    The soffit is aluminium and I am wondering the easiest way to cut the hole in it from outside.

    If its a bungalow and you can get to it easy enough you can drill pilot holes around a 4" circumference. If you cant it will have to be a metal hole saw.

    However another option might be to use an extractor fan and vent tile on your roof.

    100mm hss holesaw from a builders providers for around 15-20 euro.

    It will fly throug wood,pvc and alu soffit

    Drill the hole and thats it,job done.
