firewire question

    I am looking to purchase an external hard drive (portable or desktop) for a new mac book pro lion. I've been advised that firewire 800 connection is the fastest and best to work with FCP. I've tried Maplins, Argos and PC World and also looked online in Peats but none seem to have externals with a firewire port. The only ones I seen online (pixmania) are coming in at over €200. Can anyone advise if it is possible to get a firewire 800 port on an external hard drive for around €100? and if so where do I need to look? Thanks
