Hi, Using my brother account hope its not a problem.

Anyway I am in collage studying Business but I want to move to DCU next September hopefully.

Wanted to know what the Bachelor of Business Studies course is like. I am currently filling out the transfer form but I'm not sure weather I will get into year 2 or have to start over. There is one problem this course requries a C3 in Marhs (O Level), I didn't get that in LC which is why I had to go another collage. The form requries leaving cert results so does anyone know will they go aginst me, results so far have being faily good but its mainly CA so i'm btween 65-80% on most modules. It would be a level 6 going to a level 8 course. Another collage will accept this but are DCU likely?

Also living on campus good or bad, collage I am in has no campus and its being hard to meet new people other than my class who wouldn't be the brightest tools in the box and our class attendacne is so poor you rarly will see the same person daily and they are just very unintrested in being at collage etc. There is also very few socities compared to DCU and DCU seems to have the Hub etc.

    Thanks for any advise.

to be honest, I think your chances could be very slim of a transfer.but I could be wrong. The requirements are there for a reason. you are better off sticking with your own course to be honest, considering your results have been good. I can definitely see your predicament alright. i'd say apply anyway and there might be dispensation for you because your results have been good in another college.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, was talking to the course chairperson and she said the problem that currently there is over 200 1st years and that's more than most rooms take for the course etc. She said very few transfers get accepted and those who apply get rated as places are so hard to come by. She also said if you try when you complete your course you may get accepted into 2nd year in September 2014. Although I am tempted to apply anyway just to see.
