Felt domesticated this afternoon, so started a spring clean, found a bag hidden in the kitchen full of funky kitchen bits I bought months ago and through were lost. In the spare room I found 2 pairs of new boots that were obviously but in there for a reason that currently evades me.
Now, I just need to go through jacket pockets and bags and find lots and lots of €s I didn't know I had!!!

Jaysus! I only have one pair of each type of footwear - runners, fancy shoes, boots. How can you buy two pairs of new boots and just forget about them?

I'm not sure why my spring cleaning would suggest lack of recession?

One pair are like snow boots, we haven't really had the weather that requires them so just forgot about them.

However, what's the story with the boots? How did you forget about them?

The kitchen bits I had looked for a few times, but never found them. I put them away, so carefully I couldn't find them when I was looking for them.

I found $4.75 in coins, not very exciting.
Why did you put money between books?

I've cleaned my bedroom the odd time the last couple of years. Every time I found loose change which had built up on my locker, I put it into a box. This box has been with me through several moves. Sometimes when I had a load of change and couldn't find the box, I would put the change into a different box.

Anyway, few weeks ago, I was tidying out my bedroom again, when I come across the box. And the other two boxes. I decide that once and for all, I am going to dispose of my change by changing it in the bank. So I get some money bags and start counting. It takes most of an afternoon.

I come out with about 500 euros worth!

    I'm a spring cleaning convert.

Last week I put on a coat I haven't worn in a long time and found €65 in the pocket.

Did a big clean of the kitchen yesterday and found a One4All gift card with €90 credit on it.

I'm going to try be more organised in future.

If it hasn't been used/worn in the past 6-12 months, you don't need it, apparently.

    1. Good music.
    2. Tea.
    3. Open the window in the room you're working in.
    4. Get rid of stuff that you know you don't need.
    5. Divide the remainder into a 'love' pile and a 'like' pile.
    6. Reassess the 'like' pile and dump most of it.
    7. Find a place for everything, meaning a permanent home; not just a surface.
    8. Clean the **** out of everything.
    9. Relax and feel ace.
