Diluted Soft Sheen paint to prime over Polyfilla??

I had to do a very small repair this evening with the Polyfilla....(smacked kitchen table chair leg off of wall when moving it)

The wall is painted in a red coloured soft sheen.

Can I paint on some diluted down red soft sheen to prime the Polyfilla,or does it have to be diluted matt white paint?

The wall will then be getting repainted with red soft sheen again anyway.

It will be fine to use the softsheen. Hit it with a coat or two of the red(smithsonian) prior to repainting the wall.

I take it your going to repaint the entire wall anyway as you mentioned, otherwise the area damaged will likely flash and be noticabaly different.

Thanks for that,have some soft sheen left over from 2 months ago,and its still fine.

Gave it a stir tonight and its still grand to use.So hense me asking about using some diluted soft sheen over the Polyfilla.

a good trick if you still have some paint left over mix some paint with the polyfilla to a nice creamy texture then apply not as noticeable at all when dry also same colour filler
