Your only option from Michelin in that size is Pilot Sport 3.

Its not necessarily a bad thing though as its a better all round tyre.

Cheers. I have one of the above on my spare wheel that has never been used. Was looking to get one more to make a matching set for the front axle for the nct.. I'm guessing I would be better off with two of the same tyres??

Its not ideal to have different tyres on the same axle however if you are intent on only buying one tyre the Pilot Sport 3 would have relatively similar properties.

Its worth also noting that if your tyre is over five years old a replacement is recommended.

Well I was planning on either one good Michelin to match the spare or 2 mid range and keep the good spare. What would 60-70 buy in the above size?

Personally I would have no problem putting 2 different Michellins on the rear axle. I've done it before with a Bridgestone and a Kumho (after a blow out with one Bridgestone). Consider if you are going to use the spare what will you replace it with. Is one of the existing tyres on the car is good enough to pass the NCT as a spare? Alternatively I suppose you could pick up a cheap used tyre for the spare.

They will be going on the front axle of a fwd car. There are 2 budget tyres on the back which have a good bit of wear left on them but they will never be put on the front!!

You cant fail the nct for a spare wheel according to the nct manual
    NOTES
    1. Defects in a spare wheel tyre should not be considered a reason for failure.

Even though either of the tyres on the front would be perfect for a spare.
