Do I need to book parking in advance at Dublin Airport?

Hi all,

This may seem like a silly question to some but I have done very little flying before. I am going on a trip and need parking at Dublin airport from approx 3:00pm next Thursday 21st of Feb to approx 11:00pm Monday 25th of Feb. Do I need to book the parking in advance or can I just park and pay after.

Also which carpark would offer me the best rates for them days. My over-ridding concern is price. As long as the car is most likely still there when I get back I don't really care about anything else

Its cheaper and easier to book online. I just checked it and the cheapest option is 24.75 for the days you need.

No bother

Kavanaghs bus runs day and night too if you didnt want to drive. Its very handy, it drops you at the terminal.

One more heads up; if you use the blue car park you should allow up to 30 minutes between parking your car and getting the shuttle bus across to departures.

Quickpark -> www.quickpark.ie <- is the one I use.

You get a code emailed to you that lets you in to the carpark and lets you out again, so you don't have to have carpark money as its all prebooked.

Get on the bus, the bus stops initially at Terminal 2 (Make sure you know which one!) and then drives to Terminal 1. It picks you up again at Terminal 1 when you get back and you press the bell when you are near your car.

Make sure you remember where your car is parked (which row, or better still a GPS waypoint) so you don't have a fuss when you get there.

Give yourself plenty of time (arrive at the carparking 2h30m before the flight) as you'll want to have a good look around the airport when you get there, if you haven't done much flying.

Thanks folks. Ye have all being very helpful indeed. I have decided to go with the holiday blue long term carpark as suggested by Chucken. €24.75 is reasonable enough to be fair.
