He's not drunk, that's the gravitational pulls of Derry and Londonderry fighting against one other. The entrance to the Fountain is a very strange place.

    Not nice.

If he got into that state in a pub, they should have their licence revoked.

What does that have to do with anything? Making a video and laughing about a guy in that state is still a shitty thing to do.

Thinking the same, if that is alcohol induced how the f**k was he being served.

Yeah but no real harm done as he's not really identifiable in any conclusive longterm damages your employment prospects sort of way...if he was then it would be a much ****tier thing to do

He could be as much of an arsehole himself for getting into that state and wandering around in public......he should be responsible for himself (as long as its just over consumption of alcohol thats happened here)

you do strange things in public expect people to videotape them not to try not to be arseholes

Pointing and laughing at someone just for the sake of your own amusement is being an arsehole no matter what way you want to dress it up. Making a video of it and putting it online in the hopes that others will point and laugh at them too is being a bigger arsehole.

Just because there are no consequences that we know of doesn't mean the act itself wasn't a sh1tty thing to do.

We live in the world of YouTube and camera phones. Nobody is able to do anything stupid anymore without the risk and possibility that said "anything" will be posted up onto the internet within minutes of it happening. It's 'Big Brother Is Watching You' in style, but instead of Big Brother, it's your friends and/or randomers on the street with camera phones.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,269 ✭✭✭GalwayGuy2

For all they know he could've been dying of alcohol poisoning and they just filmed it :S

And seems a bit of a stupid thing to go up to someone that wasted...

Jesus, there's some seriously sensitive posts here. I for one am glad I saw this video, and for a brief few seconds until I saw the PSNI van I thought it was yours truly. Getting that drunk is seriously dangerous and if all the video achieves is one person who sees it and thinks twice about going out and drinking to excess then it has done something.

And yes, I have been that drunk.

It's videos like this and also the website "Embaressing Nightclub Photos" that has put me off ever wanting to get absolute hammered again. It's not worth it anyway, got scared one morning when I could not remembered half the night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,903 ✭✭✭frozenfrozen

was expecting it to turn out to be a harlem shake video

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 394 ✭✭RaRaRasputin

the video made me laugh, don't really get why people are appalled here. if i get that drunk, behave like a retard and someone films me and uploads the whole thing it's my own fault for getting drunk beyond limits.

That said, I have a feeling this guy is on something else but alcohol.

Then I suppose I'm an arsehole...thing is there are an awful lot of us out there

I probably couldn't be bothered going to the hassle of uploading it so I suppose that makes me a low achieving arsehole

Yeah but it was much less sh1tty than if the chap were easily identifiable.....
(although he may have to retire his red jacket for a while:D)

+ if this is simply a case of overconsumption of alcohol then imo most of the responsibility for the video lies with the guy doing the consuming and not the guy with the camera phone but maybe thats what an arsehole would say I suppose

Invisible limbo. OR he's practicing for the Derry Zombie Walk.

Some people need to lighten up a bit.

If you think you are going to be appalled by a video of a drunk guy, don't hit the PLAY button!

    One word. Ketamine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,800 ✭✭✭Lingua Franca

This is beoming a common problem, and not one that any one should laugh at.

Look at this poor guy. :(

That's what I was thinking. I doubt that is just alcohol. He looks like he has completely lost all trust in where he is putting his feet. Being exceptionally drunk would usually make you barrel forward until you fall. Looks like something from Fear and Loathing.

That Derry guy is an amateur. This guy was even drunker and he still tried to buy more beer...

I suppose its not fair to laugh at that guy either?

    I don't care, I laughed, A LOT.

He also looks a lot like one of our TDs.

Had a good chuckle. Lighten up the rest of you. Never heard of personal responsibility or taking it on the chin?

You should see one of me abroad in Tenerife last year. Worse than the OP's video. I didn't have sleepless nights though. My own fault entirely.

We have a fcuking banter police in AH now.

Again, that looks more like he's on ketamine than simply drunk.

He looks like a newborn giraffe trying to walk for the first time :pac:

It probably took him 3 days to get to the store.

He could have a condition where his head is too heavy for his body

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,639 ✭✭✭Miss Lockhart

I think it's almost certainly ketamine.

Definitely not just drunk. I did laugh, I'm sorry but I do see your point about it being an arseholey thing to upload it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,681 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

Arseholey to film and upload it, yes.

    Doesn't stop them being funny.

It's not particularly funny. We tend to make light of our serious drinking culture.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 391 ✭✭anhedonia

    Its heroin and alcohol.
If you're not used to powerful opiates they can make your lower back seize up something shocking, exactly like in the vid.
You wouldnt even be walking in a K-hole, you would sit/lie down til the hole wears off. This guy is trying to propel himself forward but cant because the muscles in his lower back have seized. Also why would you rail a fat line of K just before you're about to step out into the street? would you not just save it til you got home like?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,405 ✭✭✭Dartz

It's an act. It has to be.

I can't even walk that way sober without falling over.
