Problem connecting my laptop to TV. No sound!!!

Hey, I have my laptop connected to my TV with a VGA cable so I have picture. I also have my Jack to phono lead connected but no sound. :( Has anybody got any ideas how I can solve this?

Make sure you go into sound settings and enable headphones as I presume you connected the phono jack the headphone socket on your Laptop.

Make sure you are not connected to the Headphone Out socket of the TV.

Make sure you are not connected to the Mic socket on the laptop
