Am I the only one who gets a shock when pushing lift buttons? I get one every damn time! And then I'm all charged up and I shock everybody I come in contact with for an hour!

Shopping trollies do that to me. Many a time I let out little yelps doing my shopping or at the counter when loading things up to the conveyor belt.

I'm sure there is someone on here who'd be happy to assist you with that. :D

You mean I could have my own, to carry around in my pocket? That would be great, so useful: pushing lift buttons, stirring coffee, flicking through pages, slapping people in the face (only the ones who deserve it), hitchiking, showing the way to the tourists, checking which way the wind comes from, checking the water temperature (the shrinking effect), shooing pigeons away... the possibilities would be endless.

Get this all the time. Shopping centres and hospitals are the worst.

Yes you can! However, you might want to do something for the eventual decomp that would happen unless you get it frozen. Won't be good for pushing buttons if it starts to melt. :p

Obviously I'm only interested in a stand-alone model, not the torn kind.

    I lolled :D

on a serious note, this happens to me all the time too. I can't wear ugg boots or I'll spend the day being shocked by shopping trolleys, door handles, car handles etc..etc.. anything metal. Then I shock every poor person I come into contact with. Frightens the heart out of me each and every time :(

For last 2 months or so my football jerseys seem to be full of static electricity, no idea why it's happened all of a sudden but it's getting a little annoying. Causing shocks off all sorts in the gaff!

Btw the shock with the lift buttons, press them with you knuckle instead of the tip of your finger

Stop wearing man-made fiber clothes. ie polyester, nylon, rayon, etc. You're turning into a walking van de graff generator, basically.
